Houston Young Professionals volunteer for Blue Cure Foundation Fundraiser event featuring Erin Brockovich
Houston Young Professionals was invited to help Blue Cure Foundation with Volunteers for their Lecture Series featuring keynote speaker Erin Brockovich and HYP answered the call in a big way!
The call came in May 7th Monday morning at 9am for 15 volunteers and by 9:30 am the email went out! It only took 30 minutes and HYP already had 50 volunteers ready to help in any way that they can.

About Blue Cure
Founded by Gabe Canels, Blue Cure Foundation is a 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to providing information on integrative approaches to prostate cancer prevention and treatment. The mission of Blue Cure is to save lives by advocating for increased prostate cancer research funding and encouraging preventative dietary and lifestyle habits before cancer strikes. Blue Cure delivers the life-saving message of prostate cancer prevention, and provides a global forum for the emotional, mental and educational support of prostate cancer survivors, their caregivers, medical treatment providers and advocates.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Research has shown that only 1 in 10 cancers are a result of hereditary or genetic reasons. That means that as much as 90% of all cancers are potentially preventable.
That’s an incredible number. If 9 out of 10 cancer cases could be eliminated by diet, lifestyle choices, and minimizing your exposure to harmful elements found in common household items, why aren’t we hearing more about it?
Blue Cure wants to change the conversation about cancer and facilitate dialogues that inform men of their risks so that we can start beating cancer before it strikes. Watch our video below to learn more about our mission and beliefs
